BayWa r.e. is delivering local benefits while supporting Australia’s renewable energy transition. Each community has its own desires and plans for harnessing the positive impacts of renewable energy projects. With careful consultation and planning, BayWa r.e. can help ensure renewable energy projects bring long lasting benefits to local communities. Our dedicated in-house engagement staff work with diverse local stakeholders to understand local communities and build social licence.

BayWa r.e. are proud signatories of the Clean Energy Council’s Best Practice Charter for Renewable Energy Developments. The Charter is a set of voluntary commitments by Clean Energy Council members to engage respectfully with the communities in which they plan and operate projects, to be sensitive to environmental and cultural values and to make a positive contribution to the regions in which they operate.

BayWa r.e. means Global Reach, Local Focus. With deep roots in agribusiness and energy, BayWa r.e. brings over 100 years of global expertise to its local project community partnerships. From workforce training programs to beekeeping initiatives, BayWa r.e. is committed to r.e.thinking energy hand-in-hand with its landowners, community partners, and local leaders.
